Hey everyone, sorry about the lack of updates lately. Seems like months since the last time... ; ) I've got excuses though, 1) School's been busy and 2) I couldn't log onto the FTP to update the site anyways. So my solution? For starters, I've lost interest in a few of my classes, so I've cut down class time somewhat, and I erased Windows XP and went back to good ol' ME (it's faster and everything works much better with it)

Anyways, once again, no real updates, dragon boat season seems to have started up for a few corporate teams. Of course, we'd be hardpressed to have even 1/2 a boat this early, haha! Hope everyone is enjoying doing what they're doing!

Well, since you, the surfer made such an attempt to reach our site, please allow me to say "thanks!", I see we have a steady flow of visitors.. niiiiice, so the least I can do I guess is ramble...

Life is going well for me at the moment, with the exception of co-op - which just isn't happening at all.....Summer is a tricky time to compete for work. Methinks it's the marks factor, but the co-op coordinators are nice enough to say otherwise... now if someone can tell the employers that! Understandable from their POV, I guess.... Ah well, in the words of the Squeege, "no worries"..... Things always have a way of working out...

Regardless, exciting things seem to be happening, some big, some small, all handy when I need it. Just when I thought brainrot would consume me entirely, a neat job came along that will be sure to keep me going for a while longer. So I'm excited about that.

Lacrosse goes well when I attend practice, I'd be there a lot more if the schedule weren't as erratic as mine! (That's okay though, regularity is tiresome) When I'm there, it's a blast! It's not as aggressive as I had hoped for (toned down for friendly competition), but that's probably a good thing considering the size of ... "them" and well... me.

So that's it. A few short snippets into my life, oh yeah, a HUGE amount of philosophy is floating around in there too, I'm taking an existentialism course and well, I've settled on Camus' absurd life idea. It's great actually, no meaning = freedom. "We must love life more than the meaning of it." - Alyosha (The Brothers Karamazov <- I'm not sure about the spelling, but that's okay, that's what I'm in skool for) I'm in the mood to just keep on going, but I need to remind myself this is the Internet, and you're not really all that interested ; ) So back to working on Heidegger - I'm working from a decent translation, so I'm assuming it's the actual content that's lost me - seems like so much empty rhetoric, so much, yet so little...... OK, I'm done... just 1 more thing though, read Salman Rushdie's "Midnight's Children" its a great story, and the writing is fun and quirky. Done.

I have no idea what happened, it seems that my latest updates were all erased... ah well, not like there was much of it anyway ;) A few things that went missing are: 1) link to 2001 Team Photo and 2) Logo contest

LOGO CONTEST

Be as creative as you like! Have your work on display for the world to see! Plus, get your team fee waived! There's no deadline for the entries yet, as the summer is still some time away; so you guys have a plenty of time to get your creative juices flowing, yeah!

Oh yeah, and a handy little program that stops all the annoying ads from popping up can be downloaded here: Popup Dummy 1.31

More info to come, back to studying stats...... 8P

Yeah! School...... ugh! This time tomorrow, I'll be sitting around, trying to decide what to do during my 5 hr spare....

Alright, no "real" updates, just got rid of that annoying roll-over photo of last year's team.... I'll try to add a scan of our logo later on this week, after I fix it up in Photoshop, hmm, what else? Nothing really....

Good Luck in school (and life in general) to everyone, no matter where you are and what you're doing. I'll be seeing you around.

Hmm.... I wonder why my 1st update is dated Aug. 8?! Oh well... mebbe that's why I'm making min. wage 8(...... I just got back from another crappy day @ work, and I feel like ranting, aside from the boredom (and loss of IQ) it really isn't too bad... alright, I don't feel like ranting anymore... (I guess when you're typing, you get over that "rant-mood" really quickly.... ANYWAYS, a few minor updates:

-some behind the scenes magic that'll make this page load more quickly
-2000 team photos are up, 2001 aren't up cause I don't have a scanner (or 2001 photos) *hint, hint, nudge*
-hmm, that's about it, really, oh yeah, and a link to a petition for dragon boat racing to be an official event @ the 2008 Olympics in Beijing

That's it, Later.
